Best estimates
are illegal immigrants make up roughly 3 to 4 percent of
the population in the United States. However, according
to an Urban Institute study, roughly 17 percent of the prison
population at the federal level is made up of illegal aliens.
That blows a hole in the entire myth that illegal immigrants
who come here are law-abiding, hard-working people who only
want to make a better life for themselves. Certainly
many illegal immigrants are hard-working people but with
unfettered illegal migration there's no way to distinquish
the good from the bad.
As reported in
NewsMax.com in March of 2006, The Federation for American
Immigration Reform reported the following: "In
March 2000, Congress made public Department of Justice statistics
showing that, over the previous five years, the INS had
released over 35,000 criminal aliens instead of deporting
them. Over 11,000 of those released went on to commit serious
crimes, over 1,800 of which were violent ones [including
98 homicides, 142 sexual assaults, and 44 kidnappings].
"In 2001, thanks
to a decision by the Supreme Court, the INS was forced to
release into our society over 3,000 criminal aliens [who
collectively had been convicted of 125 homicides, 387 sex
offenses, and 772 assault charges]."*
Join us this Thursday
July 27 for a very special Townhall Meeting on illegal immigration.
Phil Valentine and his guests will explore the darker side
of illegal immigration: the deadly criminal side.
From the gang MS-13 to run-of-the-mill criminals to those
who kill through negligence, Phil and his guests will discuss
this huge problem that is being virtually ignored by the
mainstream media.
Please join us
for our second forum on illegal immigration in our series
of Demagnetize America Townhall Meetings.
